| LONG ISLAND AVIATION is know for its sweatshirts and hats that remember the wonderful people who worked here on the aircraft that made Long Island the Cradle of Aviation. These men and woman from GRUMMAN, REPUBLIC AND BREWSTER, as well as the many other companies, that helped keep America free.
Yes, aviation may of started at Kitty Hawk, but Long Island gave birth to some of the greatest aircraft of all times. If it was not for the HELLCAT, THE TBF, or the P-47 THUNDERBOLT helping to win WWII. The F-14 and the A-10 WATHOG in Desert Storm, showing our might. The Hawkeye E2C protecting ours ships at sea. You can never forget July 20th , 1969 when a craft came from BETHPAGE left earth for the moon. The Grumman Lunar Module brought men to the moon and then on Apollo 13 helped to bring them back to earth again.
